WORK

My work is developed on large canvases where drawings and colors interweave. I use the line and matter as resources to generate exuberant scenes of natural environments. Graphic and pictorial elements such as oil and graphite are tools that allow me to deepen into details as well as larger gestures.

This allowing me to reelevate the organic figures that are manifested. Extreme the contrast of subtle figures with tones and more exaggerated and striking tints. The work is born from a vital drive as an evident symbolic representation.

 

Through the “chiaroscuros” y stop at passages of light and shadows to intersect the linear language with the pictorial one.

In each vegetable appointment the colors sprout and emerges making the landscape being the essence of narration. An imaginary habitat that flows like nature itself that grows, mutates and reproduces. I work from photographic records taken in ecological reserves, visited places, personal files, that make up a corpus that invites the work to enter into a state of strangeness.

 

An area far from reality or an ideal place. A microclimate where nature imposes itself as a desire or as a memory.
