A PLANT APPOINTMENT

Are there thoughts in the plant?  

 

Logic of existence. Thought without representations. Coexistence with the material orientations of what grows. Reproduction and nutrition which is the same as creativity and shaping. Vegetable thoughts neither grasp to its object nor does it have any, but rather acts by multiplying its extensions by contiguity that is materially thought of in it.

Plants remember the light, they don’t remember what was in the light. They are not opposition but a total surrender to the conditions of the biosphere. The vegetable does not oppose, it moves plastically it metamorphoses, it is a collective being. A way of wild resistant and conflictive coexistences.

​

The logics of aesthetic materials in art, are also affective, logics affections as movement, as sensations. The photographs proposed by Ezequiel Pontoriero, taken without a cell phone, add to the painting and drawings of Paulina Miguel, in a gestural logic and concatenations, far from idealistic logic and the logic without an end. It is a materialism of gesture and affections. A visual archive that is thought of as geological strata. What is accumulated is preserves as a reminder archeology of memory activated by a question or by suffering.
